Our workshops are designed to give you a taste of all that photography can offer, from learning the ropes as a beginner to experiencing the wide range of photographic genres available to you as a photographer.

You can be part of The Aperture Club community through workshops, meetings, or travel adventures, whether great or small, we will help you to think like a photographer and sharpen your creative observation.

We are all dedicated, passionate, professional photographers who love photography, travel, people and new and exciting experiences. We believe learning through practical experience and experimentation will enable you to master your camera quicker than watching internet ‘how to’ videos.

Sydney photography Workshops

Individual attention is an important consideration in our workshops, and one of our main objectives. We are all very committed to giving you not only first-class tuition but also a first-class experience.

We help develop your skillset through practical understanding with guided help from our experienced tutors who are professional photographers and top of their field.We also include detailed notes which we send to you after the event. We have found reading later reinforces what you have learned.

Teaching occurs throughout a wide variety of locations around Sydney – some iconic, others eclectic and often edgy. We want to keep you challenged and inspired by introducing you to ever new sights and sounds.

So, if you a beginner, more experienced or just wanting to reconnect to your camera, join us for some inspiring, creative, and fun learning.

In Focus Meet Ups

The In Focus Group was created for photographers to engage in continuous learning, designed to push and engage in new methods and ideas. Meetings are held on 1st Monday of each month from Feb to Dec 6.15 to 9pm in Leichhardt or you can join through live zoom.

Each month we introduce a Photo Assignment centred around a compositional or technical topic that is presented in the second half of the evening. We base our critiques on these talks and assignments are set for the following month.

We have a very talented and inspiring membership base, all at different experience levels and all very inspirational. Membership is either Annual or you can come on a monthly, basis if you prefer or want to see if this group is for you.

Aperture Travel & Events

We have created travel and Event opportunites for photographers that love to totally emerge themselves in photography at all costs! The one thing that my camera has given me over the years is the opportunity to never stop learning and to fully immerse myself into photography! The bonus is you are traveling with others who are on the same page as yourself.

Our tours take you to places that are not jammed with tourists and places you might not get to experience by yourself and of course totally aimed for their amazing photographic opportunities.

Traveling is a vehicle to knowledge and excitement so keep an eye on our tours or events … you never know you might decide to join one of our adventures!
