Lightroom Fundamentals Course For Beginners
This workshop is exclusively focused on getting to know how the main components of Lightroom and create images with impact. Learn how to set up your Lightroom Catalogue and folders, backup and use basic workflow techniques. Learn how to make non-destructive adjustments that will boost the quality of your images, restore lost detail in the highlights and shadows and apply special effects that will bring out the best in your images. You will be provided with images that will allow you to follow along with the instructor, and you are encouraged to bring along some of your own images.

Time: 6.00 pm to 9.00.30pm (3.5 hours) Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop commences to ensure we start on time.

PROGRAM OUTLINE
Introduction to Lightroom
- Setting up your catalogue: Identity plate, watermarks and metadata
- Importing Photos: copy, move or add and File handling
- Sorting and selecting images: flags, ratings, labels
- Edit Module: basic light room adjustments, editing and working with images
- Exporting Basics: Locations, file naming, file sizing, file formats, presets
- Back up: Where and how
All workshops include a mixture of theory, demonstrations and hands-on activities. You will be provided with a broad assortment of practice photos and Lightroom presets, so you can continue to revisit the exercises after you complete the workshops. Bring your laptop and a functional copy of Adobe Lightroom and be ready to bring your images to life!

PREREQUISITES
A working version of Lightroom CC / Lightroom 6 already installed on your own laptop (a one-month trial version of Lightroom is available from Adobe). We will provide you with images to work on in the course though you are welcome to bring your own.
WHAT TO BRING
- Laptop or desktop computer with the latest Adobe Lightroom software (you can download a demo of the latest update, which will work for one month) A mouse is highly recommended for image editing.
- It is your responsibility to turn up with a working version of Lightroom CC /Lightroom installed on your computer (please check before arriving)
- Files of some images you would like to work on
- Bring appropriate adaptors to use USB drives
- External storage such as hard drive(advisable), Pen drive
