WHAT THE WORKSHOP COVERS
Embrace Long Exposures: Experiment with long exposure shots to capture stunning light trails, smooth water surfaces, and vibrant cityscapes. Adjust your shutter speed to control the amount of light entering your camera and achieve mesmerising effects.
Find Unique Perspectives: Explore different angles and viewpoints to add depth and intrigue to your night photographs. Look for interesting foreground elements or experiment with framing to create compelling compositions that stand out.
Master Manual Settings: Take control of your camera’s manual settings to tailor each shot to your vision. Adjust aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to achieve the perfect balance of exposure and clarity, even in low-light conditions.
Use Tripods for Stability: Stabilise your camera with a tripod to ensure sharp, blur-free images, especially during long exposure shots. Invest in a sturdy tripod and experiment with different heights and angles to find the perfect setup for your night photography adventures.
Play with Light and Shadow: Leverage the interplay of light and shadow to add drama and mood to your night photographs. Experiment with different light sources, such as street lamps or neon signs, to create captivating contrasts and highlights that enhance the visual impact of your images.
WALKING AND WEATHER
This is an easy workshop, which requires a low level of fitness.But please beware that due to crowd numbers attending Vivid, it will take time to move from ,location to location. There will be a small amount of walking to and from shoot locations, occasionally on uneven surfaces with steps and inclines.
